I got B for Spanish. Hmmm, dun noe whether to be pleased or not. I did well for my oral which was quite surprising considering how i trip over words when asked to read out the text ( cos i always bei professor xia dao. she has a knack of calling me to read when i am on Mars)Actually doing well for oral was nothing fabulous cos the professor gave us 3 topics to chose from, where each topic had a guideline as to the structure of the conversation. Everybody choses a partner ( of course i chose the pretty IX) and each pair had half an hour to plan, memorise and practice the conversation between them. The teacher will listen to the conversation between each pair and judge each pair on the fluency, diction, speed and accuraccy of grammer and stuff like that. So we are actually just spitting out what we memorised for oral examl. Surprisingly, the teacher said,"Perfecto!!! You 2 should be proud of yourselves. It wasvery good. And u all can memorise all the lines which is amazing. The diction was good and the speed was fast. Good!"
OH MAN!!! I was very happy when i heard that but of course being the humble girl i am, i try not to swagger , " heh heh !" or do sommersaults in the class ( not that i can execute one) The professor did say something about one small mistake in our grammer but we will not deviate to that topic. Well u all might wonder why speed was fast was a plus for oral. Its because the spaniards talk super fast, i catch almost close to nothing when we listen to spanish converstations on radio.
UMM.. so the point is though it was nothing great to score well for oral but i was still WHOA HAHHAH happy that i did well. So of course i expected to do well for spanish. But when i look at the written paper exam, it was like air being let out of the balloon and the balloon goes swishing all over the room, finally completely deflated. Heh, i didnt noe how to do a lot of the questions. Well, this is mainly because i didnt study chapter 4 for the exams. B4 the exams the teacher said that we should concentrate on the first three chapters for they are not going to teat us that much on the 4th chapter as we just learned it. Even if they do ask questions from the 4th chapter it will be very simple ones. Being the kuai student that i am, i listened to my teacher and didnt study it ( amazing how i only follow the teacher' s orders on these stuff) Aiya then at the exams i found out that my interpretation of what the teacher said deviate by miles from what the teacher said. AHHemm, so B lor.
But considering that i didnt really want to take it in the first place but still got b also not bad. Ok la, it was just an excuse to cover up for my bruised ego.
Why i took up spanish
AT 4.25pm some day in the past :
IX: hey registration for GE ending at 4.30 today le
bb: HUh, 4.30 !!? but i am at the office, cant access the net le. U register for me can?
IX: k, what GE u want
bb: i dun noe got what GE, i take what ever u take.
IX: i am taking spanish and.....
bb: ok
so thats how i took up spanish. I really wouldnt have taken this language if not for the time limit. For its like totally unconnected to my life. Heck, i dun see myself ever having the chance of holding a conversation with any spaniards at all. If i want to learn a language, i would take up an asian one like jap or korean so then i can watch jap animae in japanese. Haha , i love to hear hisoka from Hunter X speaking his native language, japanese. Aiyo he is really shuai man. dun care what they say about the sculpture "David" being the most handsome man of western civilisation, Hisoka still has the best body woo whoo! Cos IX likes some spanish casilla for some reason which i still cant see, i took up spanish. I wonder what IX plan to say to casilla if she sees him?
